This Privacy Policy explains how the LedgeIt mobile application handles user data.
LedgeIt is a personal finance application for tracking expenses, categories, transaction history, and recurring payments.
1. Data Processed by the App
Users may enter the following data into the app:
- expense amounts;
- transaction dates and times;
- expense categories;
- transaction descriptions;
- recurring payment information;
- app settings, including currency, theme, number format, date format, and time format.
This data is used only to provide the app's core functionality, including expense history, dashboard summaries, categories, recurring payments, and user preferences.
2. Local Data Storage
At the current stage, LedgeIt stores user data locally on the user's device.
We do not send user-entered transactions, categories, expense descriptions, or recurring payment data to developer-owned servers.
The data remains on the user's device until the user deletes it in the app, clears the app data in Android settings, or uninstalls the app from the device.
3. Android Backup
Depending on the user's Android device settings and Google account settings, some app data may be included in Android system backup.
The developer of LedgeIt does not access those backups. Backup handling is controlled by the user's device settings and Google's policies.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
LedgeIt does not request or collect:
- user name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- contacts;
- photos or videos;
- precise or approximate location;
- camera or microphone data;
- SMS or call history;
- payment card details;
- data for advertising targeting.
At the current stage, the app does not use advertising SDKs and does not display ads.
5. In-App Purchases
In-app purchases in LedgeIt are processed through Google Play Billing.
When a purchase is made, Google Play may process the user's payment information according to Google's policies. LedgeIt does not receive or store the user's payment card details.
The app may receive technical information from Google Play that is necessary to provide access to purchased features, such as:
- purchased product identifier;
- purchase status;
- purchase token;
- information required to restore purchases.
This data is used only to activate, verify, and restore access to paid app features.
6. Analytics and Advertising
LedgeIt may use Firebase Analytics to understand app interactions and improve product quality. Analytics events must not include raw financial data, transaction descriptions, merchant names, user-created category names, recurring payment titles, or free-form user text.
LedgeIt may use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash and diagnostic reports. Crash reports must not intentionally include user-entered financial details.
LedgeIt does not use advertising SDKs or sell user data.
7. Sharing Data with Third Parties
We do not sell user data and do not share user-entered financial data with third parties.
Exceptions may apply only in the following cases:
- the user initiates data sharing, for example through a future export feature;
- processing is required to complete or restore an in-app purchase through Google Play;
- disclosure is required by law.
8. Data Security
LedgeIt uses standard Android security mechanisms, including app data isolation on the device.
The user is responsible for maintaining the security of their device, including using screen lock protection, protecting their Google account, and keeping Android up to date.
9. Data Deletion
Users can delete their data in the following ways:
- delete individual records inside the app, if this functionality is available;
- clear the app data through Android system settings;
- uninstall the app from the device.
If a user contacts the developer by email, the user may request deletion of any data that was provided to the developer as part of that support request.
10. Children
LedgeIt is not specifically intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us at hug.debug@gmail.com, and we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.
11. Support Requests
If a user contacts the developer by email, we may process the user's email address and message content only to respond to the request and resolve the related issue.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app functionality, data handling practices, or legal requirements change.
The current version of this Privacy Policy will remain available at the published policy URL.
