Terms of Service for LedgeIt
Effective date: 31 July 2026
Application: LedgeIt
Developer: Debug in a hug
Privacy contact: hug.debug@gmail.com
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LedgeIt mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. The App
LedgeIt is a personal finance application that helps users record expenses, organize categories, review transaction history, and manage regular payments.
The App is a personal organization tool. It is not a bank, payment service, investment adviser, tax adviser, accountant, lender, or financial institution. The App does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. You remain responsible for your financial decisions and for checking the accuracy of any information you enter into or obtain from the App.
2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You may use the App only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. You must not:
- use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;
- interfere with the App's operation or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it;
- reverse engineer, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App except where applicable law permits it; or
- remove or alter proprietary notices in the App.
The App is not specifically intended for children under 13. If you are under the age at which you can lawfully agree to these Terms in your country, use the App only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Your Data and Device Responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of the information you enter into the App.
At the current stage, LedgeIt stores user-entered transaction data and settings locally on your device. We do not provide a developer-operated cloud backup or account-based synchronization service.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device, keeping Android and the App updated, and maintaining any backups you want to keep. Depending on your Android and Google account settings, Android system backup may include some App data. The developer does not control or access those backups.
You can remove local App data by deleting records where the App provides that option, clearing App data in Android settings, or uninstalling the App. See the Privacy Policy for more information about data handling.
4. License and Intellectual Property
Subject to these Terms, the developer grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes.
The App, its design, software, trademarks, and other content are owned by or licensed to the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or any intellectual-property rights to you.
5. In-App Purchases
The App may offer optional paid features, including a one-time product called Founder Lifetime and, in the future, subscriptions.
Purchases made in the Google Play version of the App are processed through Google Play Billing. Google, not LedgeIt, processes payment information. LedgeIt does not receive or store payment card details.
Before you complete a purchase, the App and the Google Play purchase flow will present the applicable price and purchase terms. You are responsible for reviewing them before confirming the purchase.
Founder Lifetime
Founder Lifetime is a non-recurring purchase that grants access to the eligible paid App features described at the time of purchase. It does not create a subscription and does not involve recurring billing.
"Lifetime" refers to access for the period during which the App and the applicable paid features continue to be made available by the developer, subject to applicable law, Google Play policies, and these Terms. The developer may change, improve, replace, or discontinue App features as described in Section 7.
Future Subscriptions
If the App later offers subscriptions, the relevant paywall and Google Play purchase flow will state the price, billing period, automatic-renewal terms, and other material conditions before purchase. Subscription management, cancellation, and payment handling are provided through Google Play, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Refunds and Restoring Purchases
Refund eligibility and processing for Google Play purchases are governed by Google Play's applicable policies and by mandatory consumer-protection law. Where available, you can restore eligible purchases through the App or Google Play using the same Google account used for the purchase.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services necessary to operate, improve, or distribute the App, including Google Play Billing and Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
These services may process limited technical, diagnostic, or usage information in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies. LedgeIt does not intentionally send user-entered financial records, transaction descriptions, merchant names, category names, regular payment titles, or free-form notes to analytics or crash-reporting services.
7. Changes to the App and Availability
We may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App to maintain security, comply with law, fix defects, or develop the product.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the App available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. You should maintain backups appropriate for your own needs.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the App will be accurate, complete, secure, uninterrupted, or free of errors.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, savings, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to the App where reasonably necessary to protect the App, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 3, 4, 8, 9, and 11, will survive.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the App, its paid features, or legal requirements change. The current version will be available at the published Terms of Service URL.
If a change is material, we will provide notice in the App or by another reasonable method before it takes effect where required by applicable law. Continued use of the App after the effective date of updated Terms means that you accept the updated Terms.
